I READ in disgust and dismay yet another story about 'offence' at 'the way I was addressed' (LET, March 4).
I am an 'Ossier' born and bred and never ever would I take offence at being addressed as 'cock' or 'mate.'
I'd be more concerned about the level of care I received.
My request is: Just look after me, you dear nurses and doctors, and so long as you do, you can call me.... 'Luv,' 'ducks,' 'flower' or 'sweet.' I don't really care -- and by the way, neither should anyone else.
