PUPILS turned detectives at a Rossendale high school as part of National Science Week.
A classroom at Alder Grange, Haslingden Road, Rawtenstall, was transformed into a murder scene complete with body as part of the project.
The mystery unravelled with the help of a chalk outline, murder weapon and fake blood, while a team from the forensic science department of the University of Central Lancashire acted as consultants on the case.
Science Teacher Viv Tolley said the pupils were had enjoyed taking part in the activities, which were sponsored by the Rossendale Valley Motorbike Show.
