A SEMINAR on how to prevent a 'deadly new plague' will be held in Blackburn tomorrow.
Health professionals and community organisations will come together to discuss heart disease and how health can be improved to prevent it.
Dr Ahmed Shihadah, one of a number of speakers at the event, said: "We are alarmed from just the sound of the plague or small pox or any other illness. But unfortunately we now have a disease which can kill more people than the plague and smallpox put together -- heart disease."
Topics under discussion will be healthy eating, the benefits of stopping smoking - tomorrow is No Smoking Day - knowing your safe limit of alcohol and tips on how to improve your lifestyle.
It will take place from 6pm to 9pm in the Premier Suite, Ewood Park. Details on 01254 293014.
