BACUP and Nelson go head to head at West View tonight, with Bacup looking to bounce back from their NWC Division Two Trophy semi-final exit at the weekend.
Brent Peters' side lost 6-0 at Stone Dominoes in a game which the Bacup boss couldn't believe went ahead on a severely water-logged pitch. That result came on the back of their derby against Darwen.
But Nelson manager Denis Underwood says he won't be reading anything into Bacup's recent dip.
"They are a decent side and I'm sure Brent will have them fired up for the game," he said.
"From our point of view the pressure's on Bacup to get a result. There's no real pressure on us."
Peters added: "Teams will probably be thinking it's a good time to play Bacup because they've had a couple of iffy results.
"But it's how the players respond to their respective managers' team talks."
Both managers expect to have full squads to choose from, although Bacup's Stuart Telfer has been struggling with a groin injury in recent weeks.
Colne entertain Holker Old Boys at Holt House tonight and manager Dean Grice is hoping to give a debut to new signings Matty Woods and Kristian Evans.
"Hopefully Matty will play some part in the game, and it's looking like Kristian will play alongside George Craddock from the start," he said.
Grice added that he was hoping to make three more signings in time for Saturday's game at home to Chadderton.
