TWO Blackburn nurses are to take part in the London Marathon to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre.
Elaine Kemp, 39, who was diagnosed with the disease two years ago, and her friend Irene Sziler, 43, work together on ward C6 at Queen's Park Hospital.
Elaine, of Causeway, Great Harwood, and Irene, of Heyes Lane, Blackburn, have planned a fund-raising evening prior to the 26-mile run.
This will include a band, disco and karaoke with a potato pie supper.
The event will be held at Longshaw WMC, in Bryan Street, Blackburn, on Friday, April 4.
Tickets are £5 and are available by calling Elaine on 01254 889276.
