HYNDBURN'S regeneration body has been selected to pilot a new system of monitoring achievement.
The performance management framework (PMF) has been set up by the government to monitor the progress of Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs), such as Hyndburn First.
The borough's LSP is one of eight to be chosen nationally to pilot the scheme for three months.
The aim is to enable LSPs to monitor their progress in fulfilling their objectives -- to improve residents' quality of life by influencing improvements in public services.
Nigel Rix, director of Hyndburn First, said: "Hyndburn First has been selected by the office of the deputy prime minister as an LSP to pilot this approach to performance management. It's a framework to help us keep track of all the objectives."
The framework will be adopted by all LSPs from September.
