A CONGREGATION from 20 Leigh Churches celebrated the annual World Day of Prayer Unity Service at Leigh Salvation Army.
Led by Captain Kay Delamare the challenging service was prepared by Christians of Lebanon.
The address was given by the Rev Susan Whitehead, Minister of Astley, Bedford and Tyldesley Methodist Churches and the joint choir was led by Joyce Wood and accompanied by Barbara Woodburn, both of Bedford Methodist Church. Thirteen readers helped to express the messages of Lebanon.
The £170 collection will go to the work of Christian literature societies and for Christian educational projects throughout the world.
