SUB Lieutenant Jo Culshaw can appreciate what life is like on a warship in the Middle East.
The keen Atherton sportswoman, who has played hockey for the Navy, spent two months of her officer training in the region aboard the frigate HMS Campbletown.
Jo has successfully completed the intitial phase of training at the Britannia Royal Naval College in a bid to become a warfare officer.
Former Fred Longworth High pupil Jo joined up in January 2002 after graduating from Liverpool University with a degree in classical archaeology.
She spent two months at sea on type 22 frigate HMS Campbletown in the Middle East.
