BLACKBURN Hawks shared the spoils with a 4-4 tie in an international challenge with Scottish high-fliers Paisley Pirates.
Hawks' player-coach Bobby Haig, who hails from Paisley and began his career with his local club, was eager to put one over the Scots in revenge for a challenge defeat back in September.
"They beat us 4-2 up there and, to be honest, we should have won this one," said Haig.
The first goal came courtesy of Pirates hitman James Clark and proved to be the only goal of the first period.
After the break, goals from Adam Leaver and Chris Black cancelled out another Pirates' strike to set up the final session at 2-2.
Pirates' skipper Myles Watson put the visitors ahead before Haig and Wes Barnett grasped the initiative for the Hawks. Despite the Hawks' determination, Mark Steele struck with the clock ticking down to tie the scores at 4-4.
