TOMORROW'S sporting heroes are celebrating national success at Westleigh Methodist Primary School.
The EAZ school is among just over a hundred throughout the country to receive Sport England's Activemark Award for promoting the benefits of physical activity and sport.
Headteacher Anne Bowyer, delighted at receiving this prestigious honour, said: "We value sport as an important part of the education of our children."
School sports co-ordinator Karen Morris successfully led the youngsters in their quest for sporting achievement with support and encouragement from Anne Waltho at Westleigh High.
Congratulating pupils Leigh EAZ project director Alan Dutton said: "They are one of only two schools in the Wigan borough to be honoured -- just reward for their enthusiasm and commitment."
