A RESIDENTS' association is taking action against 'serial dumpers' who leave their rubbish in alleyways.
The group representing Springfield Street and Alice Street, Darwen, is looking to 'shop' the dumpers to the council in future.
Tom Goodson, association chairman, said: "People don't seem to realise that bin men do not collect plastic bags and they just get ripped open by cats and dogs and the rubbish spills everywhere.
"We want people to be more considerate with their rubbish and understand that the council will remove household rubbish for free if you ring them. We want to make this a clean area to live and a nice area for our children to play."
