FULWOOD Leisure Centre as the venue for the North West England BSK Open Championships.

Students from the Faqiri Gym of Deepdale took first and second place in team kata and second place in senior male. The event was a huge success with clubs coming from around the North West.

Organised by Preston's Shotokan Chief Instructor Sensei Albert Timothy fourth dan. The first team included, Ferrari Faqiri (captain), Gurditta Singh and Ibrahim Motala. The second team included, Gemma Hobson (captain), Amy Gallager and Mathew Williams.

Chief Instructor of the Faqiri said he was extremely happy with the results and all the students who entered the competition were a credit to the club.
