PLAYERS of all ages took part in a football tournament in Preston.
Held at Westview Leisure Centre the days events were split into four different age groups. Under 16s, Under 18s and Under 21s.
In the under 21s an Anis Dad's goal was enough to give Fishwick Youths the cup against Preston United. Fishwick Youths had earlier come through the semi's by beating their A side Fishwick Seniors. It's going to take a long time for the seniors to live that one down.
In the under 18s the Blackburn representatives on the day - Audley Youths upstaged the odds by winning in a penalty shoot-out in the final. Fishwick Rangers under 18s again reached the final two but found the Audley boys too hot to handle. Player of the tournament in the under 18s was Suleman Chotia.
In the under 16s the final between Deepdale All-stars and Fishwick Rangers ended with the latter winning 1-0 . Earlier both sides had battled hard to reach the final none more so than DeepdaleAll-Stars who found the going tough in the group stages. Ian Billington was named player of the tournament.
The tournament was organised by Fishwick Ranger Youth Development Association and Preston United.
