THIS week's pet in need of a home is Merlin, a two-year-old semi-longhaired cat who is currently being looked after by Moggies cat rescue charity in Darwen.

Merlin is described as having a lovely nature and is very good with other cats, so would fit nicely into a cat-owning household.

He has been fully innoculated.

Merlin was brought to Moggies by his previous owner who was unable to keep him because she found she was allergic to his longhaired coat.

As with many longhaired cats Merlin would therefore not make a suitable pet for anyone with allergies or asthma.
