OSAMA Bin Laden could cost Blackpool FC manager, Steve McMahon, a hefty FA fine.
McMahon faces being hauled over the coals after suggesting that referee, Andy Penn, had been 'living in Bin Laden's cave' following the sending off of former Scotland captain, Colin Hendry in their defeat at Port Vale on Saturday.
When accused by the sharp-tongued scouser of dismissing former Scotland captain Hendry because of his celebrity, Penn is said to have replied 'Who is Colin Hendry?'
McMahon raged: "That's what I'm dealing with here - because unless he's been living in Bin Laden's cave for the last 15 years I'm sure he must know who Colin is.
"To come out with a sarcastic comment like 'Who is Colin Hendry?' sums him up I think.
"I cannot say anything else because I will end up getting in trouble over an inept referee yet again."
Veteran Hendry was shown a yellow card for fouling Adrian Littlejohn in the area, an incident which lead to Vale's penalty winner.
Then, in injury time, Hendry, playing as an emergency striker, was shown a second yellow card for an alleged dive.
Mr Penn must now decide whether to mention the post-match war of words in his report to the FA.
