AMAZING! The Magic Eye Appeal to buy life-saving cancer smashes the target yet again!
Generous East Lancashire folk have reached the appeal's new goal of £270,000 in just three months.
Now, they are on course to make the final total a staggering £300,000. That's a whole £100,000 more than organisers hoped to raise when the appeal was launched last May.
Now, instead of buying just one state-of-the-art Magic Eye endoscopic ultrasound scanner to provide vital advanced diagnosis of throat and stomach cancers, East Lancashire is to get three.
That's the bonus of the £70,000 top-up today of the appeal's original £200,000 target that was smashed last December. And not just that -- one of the new scanners is specially designed to provide pinpointed treatment, making East Lancashire's fight against cancer all the more strong.
The appeal is still rolling until the end of the month -- when organisers are confident it will climax at that fantastic £300,000 figure. The aim is to use the extra money to buy two different types of processors to gather and print the scanner images and to pay for the maintenance of the equipment.
Because of the massive efforts and enthusiasm by all sections of the community many lives will be saved as the Magic Eye scanners bring early and accurate diagnosis.
East Lancashire is to get very best and rightly so -- for once again its people have proved they are the best. We thank each and every one.
