SAFE moving and handling of people will be the theme of a briefing event at Pendle training, in Netherfield Road, Nelson on Tuesday, April 8.
The Moving and Handling Facilitators Seminar, which will start at 11am, will provide a taster of a new course that helps staff to produce manual handling policies and carry out risk assessments. It also enables them to write manual-handling care plans and implement staff training programmes.
Care programme manager Ann Rolfe said it would be a ideal chance to find out more about the course.
Everyone who is involved in staff training and assists with moving people, such as nurses, physiotherapists and senior carers, is invited to attend the free event, which includes a buffet lunch.
To register, contact Lucy Healy on 01282 724200.
