MEMBERS of Great Harwood District Women's Institute are bringing their branch into the 21st century by studying on a computer course.
Tutored by Clint Ainsworth, the seven students are learning how to produce cards, posters and even calendars -- though they will not be posing for them like the famous Rylstone WI where members stripped off for photos.
Classes take place at the Clayton Park Conference and Learning Centre, Blackburn Road, Clayton-le-Moors.
Centre manager Celia Duxbury said: "They are doing really well, they are a lovely bunch of ladies. It's a social event for them as well. They are really enthusiastic about it and it's given them confidence to use a computer. Some of them had never touched one before.
"They haven't done those calendars and they say they are not going to. But they are really working well together as a group."
