BAE Systems today announced 164 redundancies at one of its two Lancashire plants.
The jobs, part of a national BAE redundancy programme involving 1,005 workers, will go at the Warton factory because of major problems with the Nimrod maritime patrol planes.
But a BAE spokesman said there would be no redundancies at Samlesbury. Jobs will also go at Chadderton, Prestwick and Woodford.
