ALARMED officials at a community project had to take restraining action when a woman kicked, punched and dragged another woman to the floor, a court heard.
Amanda Carroll, 32, also known as Amanda Grainger, of Cobden Street, Britannia, Bacup, was before Rochdale magistrates for sentencing after she admitting assaulting Norma Davidson causing actual bodily harm.
She was made subject to a two-year community rehabilitation order with a specific requirement in respect of psychiatric treatment. She was also ordered to pay compensation.
Joanne Lovick, prosecuting, told the bench that Carroll and Norma Davidson had been out drinking in Rochdale and during the course of the evening there was a disagreement. Miss Davidson went to the Petrus Centre, a community shelter, in the town centre and Carroll attacked her there.
