A CANDLELIT peace vigil will be held at the gates of Clitheroe Castle from 6pm on the day war breaks out with Iraq.
The vigil, which has been organised by Ribble Valley peace and justice group Ribble Action, will include music and leafleting.
At dusk, hundreds of candles will be lit and there will be period of singing and silence with a peace theme.
Ribble Action spokesman Jo Harding said: "It seems bombing might start tomorrow or Friday and there will be a peace vigil on whatever day the war starts.
"We would like as many people as possible to turn up and carry on the sprit of anti-war demonstrations expected to take place in London on Saturday."
