INSTEAD of Rossendale Council seconding a communications supremo to the authority to save residents 'a mountain of cash' by listening to the brainwaves of staff (LET, March 3), why don't they just ask the disgruntled residents of Rossendale?

I'm sure they will be the best judges of how to save their money. After all, they are the unfortunate victims of all the mismanagement that has gone on in the past.

A good logo for the scheme would be clouds floating across the sky surrounded by the words 'Get a Brain.'
