AN award-winning dancer has landed a place on a prestigious training course.
Estelle Broadhurst, 15, of Lomond Gardens, Cherry Tree, Blackburn, has studied dance with Blackburn teacher Pat Eaket since she was five and says she is "thrilled" at the chance to make a career of her passion by studying on the three-year course at Preston College from September.
The St Wilfrid's school pupil, who studies ballet, jazz and modern four times a week and spends her free time cheerleading, won the Most Promising Newcomer award at her dance school when she was seven.
To get a place on the Preston course, which prepares students for about 10 different dance qualifications, she performed ballet and jazz dances as well as a rehearsed solo routine.
