PEOPLE in Pendle will be quizzed on their lifestyles and knowledge of heart diseases as part of a new health scheme.
A survey has been commissioned through Activate Pendle, a new project from Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Primary Care Trust.
It will be sent to 2,000 randomly selected people in the borough and will identify their knowledge of the causes of heart diseases, risks and any barriers to healthy lifestyles.
The surveys, written in English and Urdu, were sent to residents this week and they are being urged to reply as early as possible. A help desk for queries is available on 01282 616066 .
There will also be 12 focus groups of volunteers, of various ages, localities, race and gender, brought together to address health issues in the borough next week.
Residents will also get the opportunity to drop in to health action planning events and say how they would like health services improving.
These will take place on Thursday, March 27, between 6 and 9.30pm, at St John's Methodist Church, Colne, Saturday 29, from 10.30am to 2pm, at the Nelson Civic Theatre, and Sunday 30, from 4.15 to 7.30pm, at Brierfield Community Centre.
