AN appeal for new life savers has been launched.
The National Blood Service needs donors to help maintain an adequate supply to the NHS which uses 10,000 units a day.
Two sessions will be held on Thursday, March 27 (1.30pm - 3.30pm and 5.30pm - 7.30pm) at Leigh St Joseph's Church, Chapel Street when anyone aged 17-60 (17-70 for regular donors), in general good health and weighing over 50kg, is welcome to give blood.
