LEIGH Athletic were held to a 3-3 draw in a rollercoaster of a game against last season's champions Stockport.
Controlling the early part of the game, Leigh took the lead from a Gordon Walker cross shot. The advantage was doubled when Steve Bevan latched onto a fine through ball to neatly finish.
However, Leigh's recent poor defensive record resurfaced as they allowed Stockport back into it to tie the game at 2-2. Danny Wilson restored the lead after a fine Tony Lewis through ball but a last gasp leveller meant another frustrating day for the Latics.
This Saturday sees Leigh at home again against Springhead, kick off 2.30.
