I AM so pleased that 580 viewers had the nous to complain to the powers that be, the ITC, about an appalling TV advert for chewing gum. I thought it might just be me who found it disgusting, but I was obviously wrong.
I pride myself on having a sense of humour but there was nothing amusing about a scruff suffering with "dog's breath" spewing forth a pair of legs and then the whole dog's body. It turned me sick.
Thankfully viewer power means that the campaign has been cut short, but like the controversial Beniton ads the bad publicity has probably done more for the product than the ad itself.
I also wish they'd stop showing smelly little lads on toilets and incontinence pad adverts while I'm having my tea!
