A 68-year-old woman needed hospital treatment after she was pulled from her smoke-filled flat.
The lady had left a plastic tub on a hot oven top causing it to melt. Thick fumes spread through her apartment at Holly Court sheltered housing complex in Pimhole Road, Bury.
Firefighters were called to the flats at 8.30pm on Saturday night (March 15). The woman was given oxygen at the scene by paramedics before she was taken to Fairfield General for a check-up.
