AN 81-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were targeted by street robbers in two separate incidents on Wednesday (March 19).
The pensioner's handbag was snatched as she walked along Bolton Road in Bury at 11.50am on Wednesday. Two men drove alongside her in a light blue car and asked for change, but the passenger reached out and grabbed the bag.
One of the men had short brown greying hair.
In the second robbery the victim was punched in the face by one of two teenage thugs in Rochdale Road, Bury.
The duo demanded his ring and when he refused, he was punched, but the raiders fled when the lad fought back.
The offenders were white, aged 17, of medium build and around 5ft 10ins tall. They wore sports jackets and two-tone Nike caps
