BURY District Citizens Advice Bureau Service is now offering home visits to those people unable to get to the office because of disability or caring commitments.
The new home visiting officer Mr Ian Boote has already seen more than 50 clients and generated £10,000 in unclaimed benefits.
The service offers confidential, free advice on a wide range of issues, like consumer problems and housing. The service is only available to those who cannot get into the bureau.
Mr David Bevitt, the district manager, said: "This is an exciting new venture. Thanks to the support of the local authority, we can now offer access to our service for those who are unable to attend one of our main bureau or outreach session."
Ian Boote commented: "It's been a hectic first few weeks. The demand is already high, showing a need for the service that the CAB will do its best to meet."
People can contact the new service by calling 0845 1203 757 or by writing to Ian, care of Prestwich CAB, 7 Fairfax Road, Prestwich.
