PUTTING their recent efforts in the league aside, Preston returned to form with a stylish 6-1 victory over East Division one pacesetters, Long Sutton, in the quarter-finals of the H.A. Trophy.
Playing with zeal and vigour, Preston embellished their attractive passing game with six expertly crafted and executed goals.
They now travel to face Rotherham, who have defeated Preston twice in the league already, for the semi-final on April 6. However, after regrouping following last week's demoralising 2-1 defeat at the league champions, Preston will tackle the last leg of the season with a renewed swagger.
Long Sutton arrived with a much-vaunted line-up including five Australian imports. But this was one battle the Aussies were not going to win.
