PUPILS from eight secondary schools took on a Tetrahedron challenge on Tuesday.
The day of events at St Thomas Church showed how science, technology and maths could be combined to solve engineering problems.
The pupils were challenged to design three important facilities for use after an imaginary earthquake in Equador. They were marked on aesthetics, innovation and team work. The day is also aimed at improving key skills, such as planning, communication and team building.
