A WEEKEND of singing workshops will be held at Darwen Library Theatre on April 5 and 6.
Blackburn People's Choir are running the workshops, which are funded by an Awards for All grant from the National Lottery. The sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities. Leaders will include Gary Howard of the Flying Pickets, Jeff Borradaile, musical director of the Blackburn People's Choir, and Kate Howard, a performer and teacher who has toured with Vermont-based Northern Harmony.
A ticket for both days, which run from 10am to 4.30pm, costs £50 and £20 for concessions. Lunches and entry to the Saturday evening concert at the theatre are included.

Blackburn People's Choir meet every Thursday from 7pm to 9pm in the upstairs room at the Borough Arms, Exchange Street, Blackburn. Anyone is welcome to try out.
