COUNCILLORS have urged Darwen residents to make themselves heard in the forthcoming town centre strategy meetings.
The two-day consultation period is set to take place on Wednesday, March 26, and Thursday, March 27 from 6-8pm at Derwent Hall.
Traders have already expressed their enthusiasm for the meeting and now councillors are urging residents to make steps to change their town.
Coun Dave Hollings, Sunnyhurst ward, said: "This is a crucial meeting for the people of Darwen and I hope that they come forward with constructive ideas on how to change Darwen for the better.
"We need to share the future vision and strive forward together."
Coun Karimeh Foster, Whitehall ward, said: "People have been waiting patiently to have their say and this is their chance.
"It's about time that something was done here and I hope that the people in charge will listen carefully to the comments that are made."
Coun David Fenton, Earcroft ward, said: "I would urge everyone who wants Darwen to change to attend these meetings."
