OVER the last month I have visited Burnley, Lancaster and Chorley and what a pleasure it was to go to towns with modern bus stations, complete with toilets, snack bars and information desks all under one roof and with clocks and destination board that you can see without craning your neck.
Blackburn's one clock is the one on the railway station (when it's working) and yet the town is after city status. I suggest the council and planners go to these towns and find that it's plain to see what I mean.
They never listen to people or bus drivers. Both Blackburn's bus station and Church Street are a disgrace. If the other towns can get it right so should Blackburn.
