Chorley Lynx 31 Leigh Centurions 22 by Mike Hulme: PAUL Terzis called it 'a dark day in my coaching career' after a Chorley side, packed with Leigh old boys, pulled off one of the shock results of the season.
The Centurions boss was sensible not to look for excuses and gave credit for being 'out-played and out-coached'.
Two Mark McCully goals and a Martin Gambles try gave Chorley and 8-0 lead early on before Adam Bristow cut the defecit.
Neil Turley's try early in the second half put Leigh in front but less than two minutes later Gambles intercepted Bristow's wide pass to score again.
Leigh's Lee Sanderson also scored but three tries in 11 minutes from Mike Briggs, McCully and Gambles sealed the win.
