TWO East Lancashire runners will be doing their bit for charity when they take part in the Flora London Marathon.
Daniel Pickington, of Nelson, and Mohsin Issa, of Blackburn, are running the 26.2 miles on Sunday to raise money for Get Kids Going!
The charity provides general and sports wheelchairs for disabled children and young people.
Mohsin said: "I really wanted to run to help disabled children and young people. Especially those kids who can't even walk never mind about run.
"The children desperately need wheelchairs to get about and compete in sports such as marathons."
Daniel added: "The average cost of a child's trike is £800 and a sports wheelchair is £3,000 so I am hoping to raise as much as I can for Get Kids Going!"
Get Kids Going! was set up to help encourage disabled youngsters to play and participate in sport.
The charity provides specially-built sports wheelchairs so disabled youngsters can take part in activities such as marathons, triathlons, athletics, tennis, skiing, rugby and basketball.
A spokesperson said: "We're delighted that they're on the Get Kids Going! number one team and we are grateful for their kind donation."
