NOEL Coward's play Nude with Violin will be the season's swan song for Blackburn Drama Club next month.
The first play to be performed three times by the club, Coward's gem is a big favourite.
Painter Paul Sorodin is dead and Jacob Friedland, his dealer and his family are aghast, for Sorodin left a letter saying the valuable masterpieces he painted, and for which he has a worldwide reputation, may not be his.
But how will Sebastien, his trusted man servant, confidante and speaker of 14 languages, turn this situation to everyone's, especially his own, interest?
The result is a cracking comedy with Steven Derbyshire in the role Coward wrote for himself - Sebastien.
The play will be staged at the Thwaites Theatre, Ewood from May 6 -10. Tickets are £6 and £5 (concessions) and can be purchased by sending a cheque payable to Blackburn Drama Club to: The Booking Office, Thwaites Theatre, Aqueduct Road, Ewood, Blackburn, BB2 4HT (SAE essential), or in person from the booking office on Saturdays from 10.30am-12.30pm.
