CLITHEROE player manager Lee Sculpher could miss his first game for two and a half years tonight.

The Blues have Jason Jones, Chris Whittingham and Neil Spencer available after suspension as they entertain Woodley Sports at Shawbridge (kick-off 7.45pm).

But Sculpher, who will pick up the manager of the month award for March tonight, looks set to be ruled out of the game with an ankle injury.

"I got a bad kick on my right ankle then I went over on my left one on Saturday," he said.

"I'm very, very doubtful, and I'm not happy at all about missing the game."

Striker Lee Cryer is still sidelined with an ankle injury and Barrie Hart is doubtful after hurting his arm in Saturday's 2-1 win at Alsager.

Sculpher, however, has seen a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel after leaders Prescot Cables dropped two points at Atherton.

"Catching them is still a massive task for us even though we have got five games in hand," he said.

"Mossley have played two games less than us so, if they win all their games they could finish second and push us into third place.

"It could get to a stage where we need to beat Mossley, so it looks like being a very interesting end to the season."
