ANTI-war demonstrators in Burnley are planning a week of protest over the continuing conflict in Iraq.
Burnley Stop the War Coalition was organising a Budget day protest in Burnley, and is sending a coach to a national demonstration in London on Saturday.
Mary Black, a spokesman for the group, said: "We are protesting on Budget day because billions will be set aside for warfare in this week's budget and yet there is never enough money for welfare.
"We are marching in London on Saturday because across the world the movement to stop the war is growing in size and determination.
"The big demonstrations in London are important globally because they help the growing demonstrations in Egypt and Jordan, where people face repression when they demonstrate but feel more confident for being part of a global movement."
