BLACKBURN with Darwen stop the war coalition will hold a town centre public rally on Saturday.
The group, which has opposed the war with Iraq from the beginning, is calling for the war to stop and British troops to return.
George Davies, chairman, said: "We have stated all along that there was and are no legal or moral justifications for this war of aggression against Iraq.
"It is not, in our view, legitimate to say now that war has started that we must continue with it until some kind of "victory" is achieved over the sovereign people and state of Iraq or that we have to support the war because British troops are in action.
The rally is in conjunction with Blackburn and District Trades Council, the International Committee for Human Rights, the Blackburn-based International Peace Movement and the Madni Foundation.
It will be held outside Blackburn Town Hall from 11am.
Speakers are set to include Dave Harling, Labour councillor, Imtiaz Patel, Liberal Democrat councillor and John Murphy, president of Blackburn and District Trades Council.
Additional speakers from church, youth and women's organisations will also attend.
