AN 18-year-old girl from Colne has taken her first steps into an Army career in nursing after completing a modern apprenticeship with Pendle Training.
Kasha Gregson, who will join the Army as a student nurse this summer, wanted to get into nursing ever since her two-week work experience in a residential home.
When she left Fisher More High School in 2001, she had no hesitation about what to do next.
Careers advisers put Kasha in touch with Pendle Training in Nelson, where she started a modern apprenticeship in care where she was able to combine a job at Peel Gardens residential home.
