RAMSBOTTOM United recovered from a 2-0 deficit to snatch a point at home to Mossley.

Glyn Barker was unlucky to head over in the first half, while Mossley went close from a couple of set pieces.

The visitors took the lead on 57 minutes after Simon Heaton arrived late in the six-yard box to head past Simon Marsh from Tony Carroll's flick-on.

They doubled their lead three minutes later when Matthew Cross's deliver to the far post found Carroll unmarked and he scored with another header.

The Rams replaced McCoy with Danny Goodall and immediately went on the offensive, and Gareth Gardner reduced the gap with a 25-yard free kick.

Barker equalised after turning in Scott Weir's volley before Marsh saved his sixth spot kick of the season to secure a point.
