It was a familiar story at the top of Division 1 in the Blackburn Community League where Harvey and Thompson ran out as eventual winners.
While H & T (FJM) were not at their very best this season they retained the title through sheer determination at times, when in two crucial games they twice came from two goals down to steal a point - something their rivals were unable to do. From back to front this side was not going to get beaten and it showed in their penultimate game against Bank Top.
In the second division Shad A finished as surprise champions. Woodlands had led from the front for most of the season but some complacency and great Shad A performances put paid to their chances. Division Two remained the most competitive division with only 17 points separating top from bottom.
It went to the wire in Division Three but Training 2000 held their nerve to win it by a point. Forrest UK could count themselves unlucky as they had lost one game less than Training 2000.
Division Four was signed and sealed a month ago and New England finished with the best points tally in the league - 45. Only Hilden Design put up any resistance.
In the Community Division One Park Computers eventually finished 7 points ahead of Tayabah Bakery.
And now to the titanic tussles in the Community Division Two. Although Altom Rangers have led from the front for long periods this season Caprice always had those games in hand.
Eventually, both sides finished on equal points with Brasian United slipping to third.
