Let us begin by congratulating Canaries again for their second promotion in two seasons.
The proud Prestonians claimed the runners-up spot in the Preston Sunday League third division after beating Lancs and Yorks FC 5-2. Goals by Ali (2), Z Mal, Akujy and Hafeji awarded Canaries a comfortable victory and sees them join Ashton Villa in Division two next year.
They met the champions in their most recent game which ended 3-3. Canaries had led 2-0 but let that slip through some lax defending.
To East Lancashire now and the efforts of Paak FC. That is correct isn't it...Paak FC are from Nelson and Burnley aren't they? It's just it was reported somewhere they are from Blackburn....oh dear.
Anyway Paak will finish runners-up in the league this season behind Red Lion and their only chance of silverware will again be in the cup. They are in the final of the Peter Shaw Cup after running out 4-0 winners in the semis recently.
Blackburn United A have had a mixed month. They drew against West View 1-1, with Bilal Leli on the score sheet in his first comeback game. Earlier, they were disappointing against St Mathews (0-4) and Borough (0-0). However they did manage to overcome Langho 1-0 where the ever reliable Haroon Desai popped up to score the winner. And what may we ask has become of the great Mr Aslam? We are all sure he'll be back on these pages soon.
The biggest accolade this month is set aside for Randolph Nelson who has scored in every game he has played in this year. That includes two hat-tricks, the most recent of which was against high flyers Centurions.
In their other games it was goal fest against Akzo Nobel (7-1) and an exciting point against Blue Star (4-4). We won't say too much because it seems we always tend to give them the 'kiss of death'.
