I refer to the letter in the March issue of Asian Image concerning' What's wrong with tradition?'.
After reading your brief and biased views I felt compelled to write a counter argument. We get 'annoyed' at wearing Asian clothes because most of us wear them out of obligation than desire. Guess you've never had the hassle of getting the material and finding a decent 'seamstress' to do a good job. While with western clothes we go into a shop, like an item, and buy it. Simple as that.
It's easy for guys...wearing jeans and not being stigmatised and only wear Asian clothes for Jummah or as a religious statement.
We have to put up with racial and sexual harassment, parental pressures as well as men slagging us off. I doubt you made a valid point, you are just being prejudice to women who are trying to make the most out of this misogynist society.
Your answer is anything but proper. What I suggest you do is re-address your way of thinking because it does more harm than good. Mis-education is more fatal than not being educated at all.
