WALKERS in Hyndburn donned their boots for the first Baxenden Jubilee Walk starting at Haworth Art Gallery in Manchester Road.
The walk, which is now open to the public, is signed by waymakers designed by youngsters from Hollins County High, Accrington.
Artwork on the walk's leaflets was also designed by children attending Baxenden Primary, Church Avenue, Accrington.
The community walk starts at the gallery's main entrance and follows a four-mile circular route through local sites including Woodnook Vale, Baxenden Golf Club, Laund Clough and Oak Hill Park.
The walk is sponsored by Cheshire Building Society, the county council's Environmental Action Fund, Lancashire Environmental Fund and a number of local businesses.
