MILLIONS of viewers watched as Blackburn solicitor Elliott Taylforth proved he was the strongest link on TV last night.
But after taking on the formidable Anne Robinson, Elliott accepted defeat when it came to deciding what to do with the near £4,000 winnings.
Elliott, who works for Farleys Solicitors, and wife Rebecca are expecting their first child in June and had differing views about how the money should be spent.
"I fancied a skiing holiday in America but Rebecca wanted to create a nursery for the baby," said Elliott. "When it comes to that kind of dispute I AM the weakest link, but the nursery does look nice."
Elliott said Anne, who has a reputation for giving contestants a hard time, was a "pussycat" as far as he was concerned on the show, screened on BBC 2. And he joked: "I hope everyone noticed that there was no coughing when I was answering my questions."
