I READ the report (LET, March 25) about Barbara McVety being reunited with her dog, Matty, with mixed feelings.
A psychiatrist, who is an expert on pets, stated recently that it breaks a dog's heart every time their owner leaves them. What must Matty have felt when he was left tied up outside Accrington Library for two to three hours before being taken by the dog warden?
I have a dog and would only leave her outside a shop, or any other place, if I had absolutely no alternative. Better to leave her at home.
I hope Barbara does the same from now on.
God bless Norman Proctor for his kind heart in reuniting her with Matty.
