ON behalf of everyone at the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, I would like to thank all those who attended our recent jumble sale in Whalley.
The purpose of Make-A-Wish is simple: to grant the wishes of children aged between three and 18 with life-threatening illnesses.
Without this generosity and the kindness shown at our other fundraising events we would not be able to grant so many wishes to 'our' children.
If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer or can help in any way please write to: Julie Amis, North West Regional Development Manager, PO Box 235, Rochdale, OL16 4FA or telephone Karen Rainford on 07801 446099.
ANDY FARRELL, North West Volunteer, Make-A-Wish Foundation, UK.
